Arrowhead Lake Camp
About Arrowhead Lake
Arrowhead Lake Camp, formerly Northwoods Scout Reservation, located near West Branch in Ogemaw County, Michigan, is a significant property spanning 840 acres. The camp comprises northern hardwood forests, wetlands, and the 90-acre Lake Arrowhead. Historically, 618 acres were dedicated to the main scout camp, while an additional 24 acres served as a family camp. The property also includes part of Big Williams Lake.
Originally purchased by the Chief Okemos Council in 1962, the camp was formerly known as the Kenyon Ranch. Over the years, various structures, including campsites, cabins, and lodges, were added to support scouting activities. The camp was known for hosting the Michigan International Camporee, a large multinational Boy Scout of America event.
